Designed to perform complex multi-surface and simultaneous 5-axis machining in single setups, the Mazak Variaxis C-700 combines exceptional rigidity, speed, and intelligence to help Australian machine shops cut lead times and maximize productivity.
The Mazak Variaxis C-700 expands on the success of the C-series line by offering a larger capacity without compromising floor space or dynamic precision. Built around a rigid C-frame structure with a double-ended trunnion tilting table, the machine ensures vibration-free machining and exceptional surface finishes across demanding applications.
The machine offers substantial workpiece capacity. It features a table/pallet size of Ø700 mm × 500 mm, accommodating workpieces up to Ø850 mm × 500 mm with a maximum load capacity of 700 kg.
The Mazak Variaxis C-700 has generous axis travel. It delivers long stroke lengths (X: 860 mm, Y: 600 mm, Z: 530 mm) and a B-axis tilt range of -30° to +120°, enabling tools to reach difficult angles with minimal projection.
Comes standard with a 12,000 min⁻¹ BT40 spindle (11 kW), and can be optioned with high-torque (15,000 min⁻¹ / 46 kW) and high-speed (up to 20,000 min⁻¹) spindle variants allow tailored setup for heavy-duty steel cutting or rapid aluminum removal.
Equipped with a standard 30-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) and rapid traverse rates of 42,000 mm/min to keep non-cutting time to a minimum.
The Mazak Variaxis C-700 is powered by Mazak’s MAZATROL SmoothAi CNC control, featuring adaptive chatter control, thermal displacement compensation, and automated 5-axis calibration (MAZA-CHECK) to deliver reliable, repeatable accuracy.
Easily integrates with a range of automation systems, including Multi Pallet Pool (MPP) systems, 2-pallet changers, robotic loading cells, and hydraulic/pneumatic workholding options.
