Twelve week manufacturing facility relocation in just 60 seconds

Moving more than just machines for Oilpath Hydraulics.

When Oilpath Hydraulics made the strategic move to a new, state-of-the-art 3,000 m² manufacturing facility at the Tonsley Innovation District in South Australia, they entrusted the John Hart team to execute the relocation.

The time-lapse video captures 12 weeks of meticulous planning, heavy lifting, and precision engineering into a little over 1 minute.

Relocating an advanced manufacturing setup is far more than just moving heavy equipment from point A to point B. The 12-week project required a carefully coordinated, staggered schedule to allow Oilpath to maintain production and honor manufacturing commitments throughout the transition.

Handled by the local John Hart team based in Pooraka, SA, the relocation included a complex suite of high-performance machinery:

  • Mazak Variaxis 5-axis machining centre with Palletech FMS and a 120-tool magazine
  • Mazak HCN 4000 featuring a Multi Pallet Pool (MPP) system
  • Mazak HCN 5000 twin pallet horizontal machining centre
  • Two Mazak VCN 530s—one integrated with an Agile Flex collaborative robot loading system
  • Three Mazak CNC lathes complete with automated bar feeders

Over the course of 12 weeks, John Hart’s service engineers provided the end-to-end application expertise, technical support, and project management needed to transition Oilpath into their new high-tech facility with minimal operational disruption.

"What stood out most was their planning and control of the process—there was a clear structure to how each stage was executed, which allowed us to maintain production with minimal disruption... They’ve consistently delivered not just on equipment, but on backing it up with reliable technical support and people who understand our business."

Ron Agnew, Executive Director, Oilpath

Oilpath's new facility enables them to scale operations, unify R&D, engineering, and quality teams under one roof, and support defense-grade industry standards—paving the way for the future of Australian manufacturing.
