In line with a long term strategic plan, Newcastle based Machine Shop & Engineering Services Group have invested in a Mazak Integrex i-250HS.
Machine Shop and Engineering Services Group's latest addition, the Mazak Integrex i-250H S.
Machine Shop and Engineering Services Group, which includes NTD Engineering was established in 2001 by Managing Director Robert McCrimmon.
Robert’s strategic business plan to build a facility that could cater for an array of machining services began in 2009 when Machine Shop and Engineering Services Group acquired its current facility at Cardiff – which now houses an extensive and diverse fleet of machinery enabling Machine Shop and Engineering Services Group to successfully tackle engineering jobs of any magnitude.
As part of the business plan, Machine Shop and Engineering Services Group acquired NTD Engineering in 2011 with a focus on broadening its capabilities and customer base.
A dedicated team and state of the art machinery allow Machine Shop and Engineering Services Group and NTD Engineering to provide innovative and affordable manufacturing and repair solutions to a wide scope of industries, including mining, defence, recycling, materials handling, hydraulics and construction. The group specialises in complex machining of hard materials, and provides cost effective products and services to all of their customers.
Also part of the plan is the world class sales, service and applications support from John Hart.
The Newcastle based John Hart branch ensures the productivity and the continual reliability of the Mazak machines within the Machine Shop and Engineering Services Group facilities.
The newest state of the art Mazak addition to their facilities, the Mazak Integrex i-250H S multitasking center delivers the highest level of single-setup part-production versatility of a high-powered turning center and full-function machining center combined.
This machine configuration features a second turning spindle (S) for DONE-IN-ONE machining, minimising fixtures, tools, handling and non-cut time.
The Mazak Integrex i-250H S enclosure and tool magazine accommodate a comprehensive range of automation technologies, including gantry loaders, bar feeders and articulating robots.
Mazak’s Integrex i-H series of multi-tasking machines takes optimised machining and easy automation to new heights.
Thanks to the power of its Mazatrol SmoothAi CNC, the Mazak Integrex i-250H S offers specialized operations such as crank shaft inclined drilling or gear skiving.
To further optimize machining operations, the control provides cutting-condition monitoring through its SmoothAi Spindle function and thermal stability with its Ai Thermal Shield function.
